Who We Are
Located in Springfield Missouri, we are an operating
agency of
the Council of Churches of the Ozarks,
Contracted through the
Missouri Department of Health. CCFP continues to play a significant
role in enhancing the quality of child care in 30 counties in Southwest
and South Central Missouri. Approximately 450 licensed family day care
home providers participate in our financial reimbursement program, which
reimburses them for the USDA approved meals and snacks served to over
6,500 children collectively. The program enables child care providers to
serve higher quality meals without straining other program resources.
Throughout the years more and more mothers are having to assume full
responsibility or supplement living expenses for their families. The
Child Care Food Program continues to play an important role in the
day-to-day care of young children. Currently they serve 279 providers
representing a 30-county area, with approximately 6,500 children
enrolled.
With children receiving two thirds of their daily food consumption while
away from home, the Child Care Food Program helps thee day care
providers keep the cost of day care down while contribution to our
future generation through good meals and snacks that help develop strong
